The past year has seen the most progress on the boat as you can see in the photos below. We are moving into the last framing stage of the boat, the saloon. This is progressing quickly as most elements have square cuts. Not having to scribe bulkheads into the hull makes it a little easier. Saloon walls & upper deck beams are all hoop pine, the ply cladding is all downgraded marine ply.
Second update for may. We have assembled a box to go under the flybridge access stairs which will be a rubbish bin. This is on port side of the boat & can be seen in the first photo (Photos taken from the transom). The second photo is the starboard side cockpit sink & bench. The grey thing on the side is a tackle box for fishing tackle & other things. The last photo shows how we fabricated the saloon walls. We glued & assembled the wall flat on the ground & then stood and plumbed it to the correct position. It is just like stud framing in a house, with top & bottom plate, studs & lintels.
