Here is a little side project that I'm undertaking when there is downtime on the big project. It is a 13 foot sailing dinghy from www.bateau.com here is the direct link to the boat Corsair 13
It is a stitch and glue boat which should be relatively quick to build. So far I have cut out all of the plywood frames, transom, side & bottom panels. Side panels have been fixed together using butt blocks also. Assembling the side panels around the frames will be the next thing to do...
Here are most of the parts of the boat.
Here
the sides are joined with the butt blocks, clamps were used to stop the pieces
of plywood sliding to around to much when the clamps were lightly tightened. The
large length of timber in the middle was used for a bit of added pressure.
This
photo is a close up of the butt block, plastic sheet has been used to stop the
glue from sticking to the clamps and clamping timber.
