Selecting the anchor sizes was difficult due to most of the information is anecdotal. 

We have decided on the following...

    Bower anchor...45 pound (22 kg) plough anchor with 85m of 10mm proof tested galvanised short link chain.

Secondary & tertiary anchor system - 60 pound plough in tandem with the bower & a 55 pound fisherman anchor with 10m of chain & 100m of 14mm nylon rope. We will also carry a small danforth type anchor for stern anchoring.

All of the above to be handled by a 'Maxwell' (New Zealand made) VWC 1200 - 24 Volt vertical winch. for bowsprit setup. We intend to use nylon rope split snubber with bronze claw attachment for anchoring.
